Small family daycare in Alameda with a strong emphasis on learning through play in a relaxed, structured program has one full time opening for an infant, toddler or preschooler beginning in April 2006. We have a no-television environment with preschool activities, gardening, lots of outdoor play, an environment which helps a child play creatively alone and with friends. Providers are a mother and daughter team and are exploring the possibility of incorporating a Waldorf Inspired program into the daycare this fall. Hours are 7:30 to 6:00 p.m., M-F. Because we love the idea of mixed ages and a second family environment, we are very open to accepting an infant into the program. We are not an infant center and any infant in our care will be exposed to the stimulation of older children which we believe is a good thing!
