Essential Functions
The __Assistant II for the Child Nutrition and Community Development Program (CNCDP) is a 75% (variable to 100% depending on availability of funding) position working under the supervision of the Child Nutrition and Community Development Assistant Director. This position provides overall administrative program support for the CNCDP staff, oversees the daily organization, compilation, and management of all data and reporting related to the programs awarded by the California Nutrition Network. In addition, this person is responsible for maintaining, preparing the official in-kind matching documentation and submit the official in-kind local matching accounting.
Skills and Knowledge
With clerical and administrative experience planning meetings and assisting staff organize conferences (including notices and conformations, agenda preparation, minutes and logistics). Experience using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Word Perfect and other desktop publishing systems desirable. Ability to organize and manage large volume of data. Requires a basic understanding of statistical and other functions available for Excel and similar statistical programs. Possess good communications and interpersonal skills. Must be responsible and self motivated.
Special Conditions of Employment
Must be able to carry boxes and materials up to 20 lbs. Ability and means to travel on a flexible schedule as needed. Proof of liability and property damage insurance on vehicle used is required. A criminal background investigation check will be required for the successful candidate, including fingerprinting and a criminal history clearance by the California Department of Justice/FBI.
