Position: Academic Director, ELS Language Centers/San Rafael
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the Center Director, the Academic Director will be responsible for:
· Managing and directing the instructional program
· Hiring and supervising the instructional staff
· Testing and placing students
· Scheduling classes
· Providing in-service workshops for instructors
· Assisting with college orientation and counseling as needed
· Performing other duties related to the management of the academic program
· Teaching as required, depending on enrollment
Qualifications:
· MA in ESL or related field, or BA with equivalent experience
· At least 2 years of ESL teaching experience
· At least 1 year of experience as an administrator
· Ability to work with Windows or PC computers and programs
