When you arrive at Wild Oak Farm you'll leave the hustle and bustle of your daily life behind. Our 700-foot driveway leads you to the Tree House perched in the center of our 30 acre hideaway. Enter the Tree House at ground level by ascending the spiral staircase. You won't be disappointed. The Tree House exemplifies rustic elegance; from the massive granite fireplace and incense-cedar tree that are the centerpoints of the house, to the well-appointed bedrooms, bathrooms and full amenity kitchen.

The Tree House is a 1700 square foot, three bedroom, two bath home that is just the place for families and friends looking for a unique vacation home with many special touches. Each bedroom has views of the majestic, old-growth oaks that forest the property. The master bedroom features a king-sized bed and a sliding door that opens to the wraparound deck. The Loft Room has a queen sized bed on the main floor and a full sized bed in the sleeping loft (a kid favorite). The Triangle Room has a full-sized bed, and features bright quilts crafted by South African villagers. Total room accomodation in the Tree House is eight. The sleeper couch and plenty of floor space make additional accommodations available.

The house is wrapped by a wooden deck that provides views into the surrounding mountains. You can access the deck via the french-doors in the kitchen and master bedroom. The hammock on the back deck is a shady retreat in summer. The hot tub and outdoor shower have commanding views of the surrounding mountains and the night sky.

The house is in the quaint mountain community of Midpines, close to Yosemite and Highway 140 (the scenic, all-weather highway to Yosemite). The Tree House is tucked in the center of the thirty private acres of Wild Oak Farm. It is the only home on the farm, which is currently growing garlic for the local organic farmer. Located at 2,800 feet in elevation, Wild Oak Farm gets occasional snow in the winter and offers great hills for sledding!

Midpines is an ideal base for outdoor recreation. A short walk (bike, drive, or ride) up the road brings you to the Sierra National Forest Boundary. Most of the surrounding area is pristine Sierra National Forest or Bureau of Land Management land, with hiking trails and unpaved roads to explore. The Merced River is less than ten minutes away and provides rafting (in the spring), swimming (from late Spring until Winter rains), fishing (all year round), wild life viewing, hiking and camping opportunities and plenty of solitude. Once you arrive at Wild Oak Farm there are no crowds, no traffic -- yet Yosemite National Park lies a mere sixteen miles to the East and the restaurants, shops and historic streets of Mariposa are only ten miles to the West.
