Daly City Parks and Recreation Dept. is looking for a computer teacher for the Bayshore area at the new Bayshore Community Center, 450 Martin St. Daly City near the Cow Palace area. Teacher will be paid through the Mid-Peninsula Boys & Girls Club. Typically, teacher gets a 50% pay of each fee (less $2 Admin.) Fee: $37.50 Daly City resident/$44.50 non-resident for an 8 hour class. Class starts Wednesday, from 10am-12noon, March 29, April 5, 12, 19, followed by 4 Wednesdays of Level II classes for which they can also teach Wednesday 10am-12noon, May 3, 10, 17 and 24. In the summer, more beginner classes can be offered.
Class description for Level I is as follows: In a friendly environment, you will learn and understand beginning computer technology. Learn how to send and receive e-mail, how to start, and end and find things in the computer.
The description for Level II is as follows: Continue to build your knowledge of computers using Microsoft Word to become more efficient in word processing. Formatting of documents will include bullets/numbers, double spacing, headers/footers and creating tables.
