22r 20r 22re racing conversion motor fits toyota celica or 2wd truck
I have for sale the 22r motor I built for my 76 Toyota celica (car included).. I was waiting out the smog laws to street my little rod, but the California legislation put the hatchet down on any thing after 75 in April of last year.
The motor was balanced and blue printed by a local machine shop here in Santa Cruz. The crank shaft has been polished, and lightened, the block has been race prepped and the oil passages have been worked to allow for more flow. I put about 10,000 miles on the motor until I put her to rest two years ago. I purchased most of the build from l c engineering were a stage 3 long block goes for $4600.00. There is way more parts in this deal than what they will give you with thier package. The following is a list of the major components included in the deal.
1. Head - 20R Stage-3 Pro Cylinder Head

4. Connecting Rod - 20R/22R Pro Rod Set
LC's Exclusive Pro Rods feature only the finest in craftsmanship and material. Preparation begins with magnaflux inspection to find any hidden flaws in the forging. The beams are polished and the rods shot peened to add surface strength. After this process, Pro Rod Bolts are installed along with our silicon bronze billet pin busing, which replaces the factory split type busing. 5. A 9 lbs. Billet Aluminum Flywheel - 22R
If you circle track, drag race, or have a street slammer with small tires, add the 9 lb. Aluminum Flywheel and hang on. You will feel acceleration like you never thought possible even with a stock engine. This lightweight flywheel does not affect the engine idle. It idles smooth and revs super fast - just the thing for 2WD trucks and Celicas the 9 lb. Flywheel has a replaceable steel wear pad for long life.

6. Distributor - LC Pro Distributor - w/ Vacuum
The LC Engineering Pro Distributors are an absolute must for all carbureted performance applications. The Pro Distributor provides an increase in horsepower and acceleration due to the hotter ignition curve - great for Circle Track and Off-Road Racing. The Prod Distributor with Vacuum Advance will provide better fuel economy in street applications than the non-vacuum distributor. 7. Pulley - 20R/22R 4 Power Pulley and timing tab.
High rpm race engines often overdrive the water pump making the engines cooling system inefficient.
