1999 Triumph Thunderbird Sport
Originally purchased as a project bike, does start and run, but needs work. Carbs have been completely cleaned, but need to be synched. Issues that will need to be addressed:engine work, cooling system, and bodywork. Dents/scratches in both fenders. Front wheel has a flat spot, and slightly bent rotor. (Note dual front brake calipers – original Thunderbirds had only a single caliper – the Sport model has dual) Brand new seat purchased, and a second tank included (original tank has numerous dents, second tank has only 1 small dent) missing LH side cover. Original Triumph twin upswept exhaust stystem, (NOT aftermarket, or peashooter exhaust) I have the airbox/prefilter/filter assembly , just not pictured.
Great for someone who is looking for a Triumph, and doesn’t mind spending time/money to get her running. I’m moving to a new home, and simply don’t have the time, or room to work on it.
Bike is currently registered in CA with a CLEAN TITLE (NOT Salvaged!) and good until next year. Also have hardbound Hayes rebuild manual, as well as a complete Triumph Service Manual on CD. It includes all Triumph exploded views, part numbers, as well as their clothing line, accessories, etc.
