We have accepted an offer for $11,500 from the first person who saw it. They are picking up the car tonight at 5:00 pm.
We are the original owners and -except for tires and one oil change- had the car regularly serviced at the Lexus dealership.
It has been in no accidents. It is being sold AS IS with a few minor dents and dings. It is very clean according to the dealer that was going to buy it from us.
Optional repairs that can be done, but Lexus told me do not effect safety:
-strut towers replaced (causes some noise)
-rear main seal (causes unoticable oil leakage)
-left front door lock replace (sometimes have to lock manually)
Its blue books for $13,635 (private party sale) after strut towers are fixed $450 (other) or $1,300 (Lexus) in repairs. It's retail blue book is much higher.
We priced the car for all of these issues even though they are not all required to be fixed. We know it's the lowest priced RX300 available on the Internet and the we are being up front about EVERYTHING we know it needs. A copy of the service record with this information is available.
The car received Lexus Level A service last week. By 100,000 miles it will be time for the timing belt, fluids, and filters to be replaced.
