I have a 1988 CBR1000F Hurricane that is crashed... (A car turned in front of me...) It really wasn't too badly damaged in the crash, but the tow truck really did a number on the plastics... The head fairing and headlight assembly were destroyed by the idiot that picked it up... The front forks are bent and front fender is mostly gone...
The bike has the factory wheels on it, but they are chrome plated... I had repainted it from the red/black original to all black.
I also have a spare engine in my shed that I bought on eBay (I commuted from Brentwood to San Jose on the thing, so I was racking up the miles.) The spare engine had some damage to the top of the head (That the eBay seller forgot to mention... Thanks!) So I also bought another head for the spare engine...
I have the Factory Service Manual for it, and several other spare parts... (I think I have another windshield, although it would need a new headfairing to use it! I think I still have a spare seat for it, too)
When I crashed it, I had just finished a major service on it. (Valve adjust, carb sync, spark plugs, oil change, replaced rear shock and replaced the fork seals) The bike was running like brand new... Sigh...
If someone wants to come pick it up, it's free for the taking. (I have the pink slip in hand for the bike) It hasn't run in about two years, but it was running perfectly when I crashed it... :)
You can buy aftermarket plastic for it fairly cheap, and I've seen several auctions on eBay for forks... If you have some time, you could probably pick up everything you need to fix it on eBay... The only reason I never fixed it was my wife told me I'd have to get a new wife if I fixed it... She hasn't changed her mind, so it needs to go.
