$950 - Bdr. in Garden 2-Bdr Victorian Flat, shr. w/one teacher (castro / upper market)

Title $950 - Bdr. in Garden 2-Bdr Victorian Flat, shr. w/one teacher (castro / upper market)
Category Entertainment : Musical Instruments
Created 03/15/06
Description It is an amazing place. Available now or by April 1st latest move-in.

Available bdr. is 10' x 13' with large window. Can be furnished or unfornished. Brass chandelier with dimmer switch, small closet. (I installed an extra rod in my room, which can be done in new roomate's room as well, if needed). Nice wool area rug.

Laundry in basement, huge gardens in back yard, huge dine-in kitchen, bathroom has claw-foot tub. Only 8 flats in building.

Place is well-kept up, and has lots of character/charm. All nice wooden flooring, and period detail throughout flat. Art/music room (instead of living room) which has two side-by-side large windows, facing West with view of mountains in distance. (12' x 13')

Beautiful wool area rugs in long hall and rooms to protect wood flooring.

Kitchen is equipped with all utensils and appliances, which I will share with new roomate. Lots of cupboards, counter space, gas stove, large fridge, double stainless steel sinks, and hard-wood 1950's table & chairs. Three windows and door open to wooden deck, with steps leading to gardens: 50' x 90' with Palms, Ferns, rose bushes, and other greenery and Giant Pine tree surrounding large grassy area - - all professionally maintained.

Flat is on a quiet tree-lined street in the heart of the castro. Walk to all conveniences (near 18th street/Castro), including public transportation. Street parking is not bad.

Share flat with myself: visual artist/teacher (MFA), N/S, N/D, progressive straight female, mid-career. Playful spirit.

Looking for someone with a creative/searching mind, considerate, with emotional and financial stability (employed). N/S, N/D. Someone who travels quite a bit would work, too. Progressively oriented.

If interested in use of art/music studio on regular basis, (we could set up a use schedule so that each of us has 'alone'time in the studio), then rent would be $1050/month. I will be getting a fine PIANO soon, and would share it if new roomate plays. Open to other musical instruments (drum kit excluded - as there are neighbors above and next door).

Move-in: 1st/last, and $800 security deposit. Good references/credit report.

call: 558-9958 from 8am to 9pm, or e-mail. Thanks. Judith
