Here we go...
WHERE WE ARE: Located on a quite side street (a cul-de-sac, nonetheless) by many, many bus lines. 5 Fulton runs practically in front of the flat, 43 Masonic, 21 Hayes nearby, and 31 Balboa is not more than a 6 minute walk uphill. Upper Haight and all its amenities is a 10 minute walk away, with access to the 6, 71, 37, and 33. Lower Divisadero is also a 10 minute walk, with access to the 24 and all the awesome bars and restaurants over there. As far as neighboorhood amenities, we have Albertson's, Starbucks, Washington Mutual, a funky little coffeeshop, dry cleaners, laundromat, and liquor store all at the Fulton and Masonic intersection, not more than a minute or two walk away.
WHAT THE HOUSE HAS: Kitchen with a dishwasher, small outdoor landing in back, living room, and shared, tiled bathroom with a sliding door shower-tub. We are on the top floor, but there is a garden in the backyard on the first floor. If you have a knack for gardening, you're more than welcome to go nuts - I don't think anyone's tended to the garden in quite some time. Wireless DSL. No cigarette smoking in the house - the landing is a nice little break area with a killer view. Sorry, no pets.
WHAT THE ROOM IS: 12x15, medium sized room. Good-sized closet, carpeted floors, west-facing/street-facing window. Plenty of space for a large bed, desk, and a few more additional items.
WHO WE ARE: We're all in our early-ish 20's but are very driven, focused, and mature people, and we run our house accordingly.
Will is an energy juice drink promotions guru, just about finishing up with fashion design degree. In what spare time he has, he snowboards, makes music and would like to get into film production.
Ryan is a software engineering wizard working at a sweet start up while getting his master's degree. If he had spare time, he would go hiking, skiing, and do other outdoor things.
Jen is a former service industry kid, now a new member of the 8-5ish workforce for an awesome sustainable business that distributes recycled paper. In what spare time she has, she likes to create things, and make plans to take up hobbies.
As a household, we like craft beer, good/live music, superfluous factoids, and enjoying what a city like San Francisco has to offer.
WHO WE WANT: Male or Female, doesn't matter. We're looking for someone fitting all the traditional Craigslist criteria: clean, pays bills on time, cool to hang out with around the house but has own life, etc... But seriously, we are a very laid back but CLEAN, adult house because we all pull our weight insofar as keeping the bathroom, kitchen, living room clean (no grimy counters, no moldy dishes, no hair in the shower drain, no strewing of anything anywhere in the common space). We've never had a chore wheel and don't desire such a thing. Of course, you are more than welcome to keep your personal space however you'd like. Ideally, we'd also like someone who will contribute to the dynamic nature of the household - we're all constantly evolving and hope you are too.
MONEY WISE: Rent is $725 a month, month to month lease, +$725 deposit. Move in date is April 1st. Utilities are about $40 a month per person in the winter and half that when it's warmer. $10 additional for Wireless/wired DSL. We do have 1 parking spot in the driveway, but Will and Ryan both have cars, so that would have to be rotated appropriately. Street parking available with the normal challenges of being in San Francisco. We ask that you stay at least 3 months unless you are ready and willing to find a worthy replacement.
