Available April 1st, rent is $700/month. The move in costs are $1,400 (first month's rent plus equal amount as a damage deposit). This is a sublease, and while I hope to find someone who wants to stick around for some time, we'll take it month to month. We will split utilities equally, which seems to range from a low of $60/month to a high of $100/month depending on season & how much one chooses to run the heater.
The house has a steller location and is only four blocks from North Berkeley BART, one block from Andronico's grocery store, restaurants and cafes, 10 minute drive to freeways, and close to bus lines.
The bedroom available measures 11'x11'. It comes complete with a fabulously large closet big enough for clothes and storage, two windows that offer wonderful morning light, view of the backyard and partial views of Berkeley hills, and has hardwood floors.
This uncluttered, two bedroom home is in a safe neighborhood. Ammenities include hardwood floors, fireplace, forced air heating, modern style furnishings in living room and dining room, a kitchen well stocked with cooking gear and equipt with gass stove/oven, bathroom with shower and tub, basement workshop area with washer and dryer, extra room for guests, a one car garage with some room for storage, and a big back yard. Parking around here is unrestricted and pretty easy to find, and we will share one off street parking space.
A little about me: I am active, creative, and love to be outdoors hiking, climbing, and exploring new places. I work as a consultant and my focus is on bringing environmental and social sustainability into business. I spend about 4-6 days per month out of town visiting my boyfriend.
