Yowsers!
First, let me say that we're looking for a guy.
One of my roomates is moving in with a friend at the end of this month, so we've got another room for rent. It's medium-sized (around 15x15, I think), with large bay windows across its street-facing side - catch that morning sun!, and its own closet.
This 2nd floor apartment on the Northeast side of the Mission has a nice-sized livingroom (has TV, DVD, VCR, but no cable - noone watches TV all that much) and storage room to use for stuff. Bikes are especially welcome (bike hooks in the storage room)! Especially if you ride road. ;) Hiking, camping, climbing gear, luggage, too. The kitchen has all that kitchen stuff, including dishwasher. There is coin-op laundry in the building.
We're 2 blocks from Rainbow Grocery, and 3 from the 16th St. BART, and on the cusp of all the restaurants, bars, galleries, cafes, etc. of both the Mission and SOMA neighborhoods. Pretty good location-wise to get to lots of places in the city! Of course, the neighborhood is well, still the Mission, and so it's got all the pluses and minuses of a homeless element (and hipster social scene, if you mind that - haha).. although our actual street (Shotwell) is off the main thoroughfares and generally a lot quieter in all respects.
You'd be sharing the apartment with 3 other folks, 2 guys that live their now (mid-20s), and one other guy that we're looking to take over our small room. I (one of the guys) do computer stuff, work from home (in my room) sometimes, travel a lot, bike a lot, climb at Mission Cliffs; the other guy is a musician, keyboards and guitar - with headphones and his room is next to mine so no worries about noise. We're all friendly, but pretty much do our own thing.
The rent is $625/mo + utilities (gas, electric, local phone and DSL), which is anywhere between $25-$45/mo per person. Need first and last month's rent to move in (i.e. $1250); no exceptions. Again, we're looking for a guy around our age, NO SMOKING (indoors or outdoors), can help keep the common areas tidy, and generally keep in good spirits. And if you bike or climb or hike, we shall, perhaps, go out for a beer (or two) after such actividades. If you don't do any of that stuff, no worries.. we can still go out for a beer. ;)
I'm going away on a work trip until Saturday, but want to have people come by this weekend and early this coming week. Shoot me an email if you're interested and we can work out a time for you to come by. Thanks, and talk to you soon!
