NEED TO RENT THE FOLLOWING ON TREASURE ISLAND...A-SAP!:
Hiya,
I have ONE bedroom here on TRESURE ISLAND available at the END OF MARCH/beginning of APRIL 2006 (AND MAY POSSIBLY BE OPEN SOONER!!). The room is medium sized with a bit of a view of the Bay Bridge. Rent is $579 a month. you will basically have the run of the rest of the house as i hardly cook or use the bottom floor of the house--i'm hardly home, so feel free to decorate!) plus a $579 deposit (UTILITIES ARE INCLUDED IN THE RENT!!). The leasing office will also require a background and credit check that I think costs about $15 or $20 (BEING ON A LEASE IS OPTIONAL!!). All utilities are included in the rent but PHONE, COMCAST INTERNET, DIRECTV, and the rental WASHER and DRYER are a little extra per month (SOME OF THESE ARE OPTIONAL AS WELL). The home has 1 and 1/2 bathrooms, and for the most part, you will have the run of the house because i am hardly ever there...(i.e.--I RENT 2 BEDROOMS—I HAVE THE OTHER ROOM AS A THEATER ROOM—4 BEDROOM HOME--3 PEOPLE LIVING HERE). There is a dishwasher, garbage disposal and the earlier mentioned washer and dryer. No more trips to the Laundromat (W/D IN UNIT)! We have a full kitchen with GAS oven, GAS stove, refrigerator, & cookware. We have a fenced in backyard with real grass and lavender bushes!! Treasure Island does not have much in the way of amenities...only a small corner store and a Marina Cafe that overlooks the city...very cool. However, everyone here works in the City and gets stuff on their way home. This lack of amenities is offset by the best view of the S.F. skyline and the relative PEACE and QUIET of the island. THERE IS ALSO PLENTY OF FREE PARKING BY OUR UNIT—AS IS NOT THE CASE FOR MOST UNITS ON T.I. It is wonderfully quiet out here yet you are only 15 min.s away from San Francisco city proper or Berkeley. And the views really are amazing! There is a tennis court on the island, some basketball hoops, a perimeter bike path, a NEWLY OPENED GYM, There is direct bus service to the Trans-Bay Terminal downtown S.F. (FINANCIAL DISTRICT), and buses come by about every 15 minutes on weekdays and the bus stop is less than a block away. (WIDE OPEN SPACES MAKE IT A WORK-OUT HAVEN, OR GREAT PLACE FOR DOG WALKS!)
The roommate (HE) you will (sort of) share the house with is mellow and laid back. A 30 something construction engineer helping build the New Bay Bridge who enjoys riding his motorcycle, NETFLIX, and keeping busy with various projects and exploring the Bay area. The other roommate (SHE) works in I.T. somewhere in Emeryville and is very laid back...and she has 2 cool cats...DADDY-OH! Cool if you smoke BUT NO SMOKING INSIDE--OUTSIDE ONLY (just to be clear on this...there is no exception to this rule). I smoke sometimes, but OUTSIDE only and i do not trash the place w/ butts! I have a very busy schedule, and i have to admit i am hardly at home. I am not objectionable to having weekend get-togethers, but this is NOT a "ragin', kegger, frathouse, beer-bong" household...aaaand...I'd like to keep it that way.
This ISSS a VERY quiet household (GOOD FOR A BUSINESS PROFESSIONAL). My work schedule is very early on weekdays so its pretty quiet on the weekdays during Weekend nights are a bit more flexible.
A compatible roommate would be drug-free. No drugs allowed in the house. Cool if you smoke...outside only, of course. Cool if you drink, just don't turn into a schlopy drunk if you do. I also like the house to be CLEAN, but we can talk about that when you call to look at the room. I have a cleaning service come in once a month to clean the downstairs (living room, kitchen, laundry room) just to keep things looking nice. Price is $25/month.
What a SCHPEEL! Call me if you’re interested! 510 847 1159 (I WOULD PREFER A CALL RATHER THAN AN EMAIL--THANKS).
PARADISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
