The big purple 4001 warehouse on san leandro is part of the newly formed SoFA (south of fruitvale) art collaborative that also includes vulcan studios, dutchboy paint factory, and tons of other local east bay artsy folk.
We rented this particular 1800sf unit in an 'as-is' condition and have since done lots of work to achieve an informal and creative environment, fully furnished and operational. see photos. we are especially proud of our new suspended cargo net living room extension. you will have lots of room for studio space and are welcome to add any building, paint, electrical, etc. ideas you may have. the rules are relaxed.
your roommates are: mike, a solar electrician and avid unicyclist; and heather, a social worker and painter; and gus, lola, and paquita, three happy chihuahuas. no more animals please.
i've relocated for work and have to transfer the lease, which runs through the end of september.
the room will cost $575/month + utilities. you also have to get a credit check at our landlord's request. the lease will run from April 1 through September's end.
