Collaboration Manager and Writer for multi-million dollar software proposals.

R&B Engineering, Inc., Auburn, 1/05 – 7/05. Client Fulfillment Director / Senior Project Manager. Six month contract position. Responsible for establishing new tools and processes allowed R&B Engineering, Inc. to greatly increase its capacity and staffing. Managed all of the civil, planning and drafting production schedules and budgets, and assisted the President with HR, training and production system documentation and improvements. Worked with senior staff to create work scopes and final contracts for clients. Designed and produced the current TRG web site.

The Robert Group, SF, 3/04 - 10/04. Director of Business Development / Senior Project Manager. Position ended due to loss of contracts and closure of SF office. Created the tri-level, dynamic TRG Client Data Base and RFP Tracker tools for both LA and SF leads, and co-managed the SF Transit Authority’s Geary Corridor Study Community Outreach program lead by DKS/IBI. Managed TRG’s new marketing collateral design plan. Served as outreach project manager for the SF PUC Alameda Watershed Habitat Project. Designed the current TRG web site.

GrowingPlanet.org, 7/03-8/03. Short-term consultant position.
Designed and managed a proposal to CA State Park's for permission to create a Native Plant Nursery and Staging Area at Thornton State Park in coastal San Mateo County, and the new EcoRanger.com web site design, course curriculum, and marketing strategy. Completed a major grant application for growingplanet.org.

TBA West Architects, 10/03-12/03. Consultant position.
For TBA West Architects, developed the presentation mapping and workshop tools for the November 2003 workshop sponsored by the Little Tokyo Community Council in Los Angeles. Contributed to the new TBA West web site, and a design for TBA West's first online conference.

National Japanese American Historical Society (NJAHS). 10/03-12/03. Consultant position.
Information designer (content writer and mock-up design) for the Stage One web site project for the National Japanese American Historical Society (NJAHS) Building 640 Interpretive Center Project in the Presidio. Developed a four stage web site process for the project.

EcoRangers.com Curriculum Group. 11/03-12/03. Short-term consultant position.
Served as the online project designer and facilitator for the EcoRangers Curriculum Team that was charged with marketing the EcoRanger course curriculum to the Daly City School District.


Vertim.com, 5/03-7/03. Consultant for start-up.
Willi contributed data flow charts, information design and web page mock-ups, competitive business research and multiple product specifications.

GlobalCommunityX.com, 4/03-6/03. Short-term contract position.
As a business manager William supported the Founder in the day-to-day business operations and forecast and managed financial projections. In addition, he designed and supervised the distribution of new marketing materials, wrote the 30 Day Business Plan, brought in new clients, created six new product specifications, redesigned the Sales Team Binder, and developed two major product ideas: Well-Lab.info and the Virtual Product Show Room.

Mara Feeney and Associates, 8/02-2/03. Contract position ended due to cancellation of State contracts.
Responsible for his own State of California CIA transportation project in Humboldt County, including client relations, local business surveys and questionnaires, policy research, and report writing. He also assisted the Principal in organizing team member interviews for an East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) tunnel project and attended ongoing neighborhood meetings concerning a CalTrans multi-modal station project in San Francisco.

TS Civil Engineering, 9/01-6/02. Project Manager.
Coordinated and analyzed parcel and street ownership for Caltrans and Santa Clara Roads and Airports projects. Responsible for research, budgeting, hiring and leading traffic and geo-technical consultants for CEQA reports. In addition, he analyzed street improvements, right of way and easement rights for clients. Prepared and managed entitlement applications, project schedules and budgets and arranged and led site visits. Coordinated CA Fish and Game site visits and researched and wrote 1603 permit applications.

Coldwell Banker Real Estate, 10/00-2/01. Temporary position.
William was responsible for the administration of commercial and residential real estate contracts, including researching and managing the company’s Multiple Listing Service database. He also provided general administrative support for 5 brokers.

WorldTalent.com, 2/00-6/00. Contract position.
William researched, analyzed and produced a white paper on how WF.com could add customers and long-term stability through online learning partnerships and tools.

DevX.com, 9/99-1/00. Position ended due to company downsizing.
William served as Director of Community Development, he collaborated with senior staff design a knowledge management system and eLearning program. He also worked with vendor managers and staff to produce an online community product comparison and strategy report.

Caucus Systems, Inc. 6/99-8/99. Summer Research Assistantship.
William designed and managed web sites, virtual and face-to-face events, including web graphics and client support.

Wise Community Technology Project, 3/99-5/99. Short-term University project.
Provided overall project management, including project scheduling, event design, and face-to-face meeting facilitation. Designed and updated project Web pages. Contributed research on electronic communities and virtual teams for new IT employment projects, a Certified Technology Community program and e-commerce strategies for southwest Virginia.

Jackson Ward Electronic Community Project. 6/98-9/98. Short-term University project.
Provided overall project management including scheduling and event design, face to face meeting facilitation, design and updating of the project Web pages and contributed research on electronic communities and virtual teams to improve neighborhood housing, business ownership and improved parks.

Electronic Charrette Director, 6/97-10/97. M.A. Student project / Teaching Assistant.
Invented and conducted two online planning and design charrettes with interdisciplinary teams surrounding the re-use of the National Guard Armory and City Library in Mankato, Minnesota.
